RECRUITMENT VACANCY

 Applications are invited for the part-time permanent post of Deputy Clerk for the Community Council, the role is key in the management and future development of the Council.

The position will be based in the Community Council Offices, reporting to the Clerk and will involves administrative support and providing cover for the Clerk.

COMMUNITY COUNCIL CLERK / RESPONSIBLE FINANCE OFFICER
 

We are pleased to introduce Jolene Dalton, our new Clerk / Responsible Finance Officer.She  joined us from the Home Office and has a background in Local Government as a Senior Scrutiny Officer.

As of 18 December 2014 the Council does not operate a drop-in appointment system.  If you wish you may contact the office with details of your concerns an appointment will be scheduled with the Clerk and appropriate Councillors.

 ABERTILLERY AND LLANHILLETH COMMUNITY COUNCIL is the grass roots representation at Local Government level for the people from Swffryd in the south to Bournville in the north. Abertillery was officially twinned with Royat, a Town in the Auvergne region of France, on the 1st March, 2010.The Twinning Partnership Document was signed at a ceremony held in The Metropole Cultural and Conference Centre by Councillor Allan Thomas, Chairman of Abertillery & Llanhilleth Community Council 2009-10, and Marcel Aledol, Mayor of Royat.
