Solar Farm Grant 2019

In 2019 the Community Council has secured £35,000 of funding from Community Green Energy Wales CIC, the company that runs Hafod-y-Dafal Solar Farm, for the benefit of the Communities of the A&LCC area. The Council welcomes applications by 10 October 2019 (to local councillors) in line with the criteria and process here and on the application form which can be seen here in PDF or here in Word. 

 

Solar Farm Grant 2018 

In 2018 the Community Council secured £35,000 of funding from Community Green Energy Wales CIC, the company that runs Hafod-y-Dafal Solar Farm, for the benefit of the Communities of the A&LCC area. The Council discussed various proposals for grant funding. The whole grant of £35,000 was paid in April 2019 to Abertillery Excelsiors AFC, on behalf of the Cwmtillery Partnership of various organisations, to fund Cwmtillery Lakeside improvements, fishing pegs, dredging of the lake, repairs and stock for the fishing club, a footfall counter, garden design, community café (fire doors, extractor fan, tiling, back door and windows), ecological survey, promotional events, planning fees, perimeter native hedging around the wood, a full ecological impact assessment and Memorial Garden. 

 

Solar Farm Grants - 2017

In 2017 the Community Council secured £35,000 of funding from Community Green Energy Wales CIC, the company that runs Hafod-y-Dafal Solar Farm, for the benefit of the Communities of the A&LCC area. The Council advertised and received applications for grant funding from about 35 different organisations. The following organisations were successful, and grants were paid out just before Christmas 2017.
