Well Being

Abertillery & Llanhilleth Community Council

The Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015 . places a duty on certain community and town councils to take all reasonable steps towards meeting the objectives included in the local well-being plan that has effect in their areas. A community or town council is subject to that duty only if its gross income or expenditure was at least £200,000 for each of the three financial years preceding the year in which the local well-being plan is published.

The Public Services Boards for Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Newport, Monmouthshire, and Torfaen have joined together to make up the Gwent Public Services Board and they have published a document showing what they will do in the next 5 years to improve people’s well-being in Gwent. This is called the Well-being plan for Gwent (Easy read version). Well-being Plan for Gwent 2023-2028
